Brief Summary
This web database gathers best-practice examples of how historic buildings can be renovated to achieve high levels of energy efficiency while protecting their heritage value.

Each example documents the renovation process and aim of the retrofit, building description and heritage assessment, retrofit  solutions (both passive and active), and evaluation of the intervention. You can filter the database according to location, building type, type of retrofit solutions, renewable energy system, and type of evaluation performed.

The database development has been funded by the Interreg Alpine Space project “ATLAS” and Task 59 of IEA Solar Heating and Cooling programme.
